'Red' Kelly. The Man. The Music. The Celebrities.
The Politician...
There are four ways you can get involved
in helping the Library preserve the legacy of Red Kelly:
1. Volunteer – Help us tell Red’s
story by sharing your own. Do you have a special memory or story
about Red? If you “remember the time when…”
or can identify photographs, music, people and places, we’d
love to hear from you. Please give us a call at 253.591.5622 or
e-mail us at kellyproject@tpl.lib.wa.us
2.
Share what you have. Are you a musician who played with
Red sometime during his 60-year career and have photographs, programs,
news clippings, sheet music ... We would love to hear from yoou
and add your memorabilia to our collection. Please give us a call
at 253.591.5622 or e-mail us at kellyproject@tpl.lib.wa.us
3. Make a Donation – We want to build
an comprehensive web site and develop a major exhibit that explore's
Red's career in the much larger conext of the fading Big Band
era after World War II. Your tax-deductible contribution will
help make this possible. Quite simply, we cannot undertake this
project without the support of jazz and music lovers everywhere.
Please make your donation today. We accept credit cards and personal
checks. {Download donation form - Adobe PDF }
